Immediately after the Tribulation
A few people today teach that the Great Tribulation took place when the Roman General Titus came against Jerusalem in 70 A.D. From this theory they indicate that Second Coming has already taken place or that the Second Coming will happen without any signs of warning.
Even though these theories sometimes sound interesting as they attempt to connect events of Titus campaign with the Great Tribulation, they are in error.
The theory that the Second Coming has already occurred is in error for many reasons, not the least of which is because it totally rejects the reign of Christ on earth from Davids throne. Scripture states that Christ will return and reign on Davids throne in Jerusalem.
Jesus says,
Immediately after the tribulation of those days "'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other (Matthew 24:29-31).
Jesus says He is coming is, Immediately after the tribulation of those days. Therefore, the theory that the Great Tribulation took place in or around 70 A.D. must be false. Because, Jesus said He would come immediately after the tribulation. So, if the Tribulation did take place, Jesus would currently be seen reigning on His throne in Jerusalem.
The Great Tribulation has not occurred and Christ has not returned.
Therefore, keep watch!
