ETERNAL SECURITY

Can one be eternally secure and go on sinning?

The True Meaning of Spiritual Death

The Bible never says a spirit can die. A demonic spirit cannot die, an angelic spirit cannot die,
nor can a human spirit die. So if one wants to talk about spiritual death and use that term, we should
define what it does mean so there is less confusion. In a truer sense,  to be spiritually dead means
being totally out of touch with God and righteousness.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself;
by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime
alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body
of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the
gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;
whereof I Paul am made a minister; -Col. 1:20-23

Apostasy

Suicide

The people are predisposed to accept some form of ‘imputation’ because they are constantly told that no
one is perfect, everyone sins all the time and their behavior will not effect the outcome of their salvation. What
possible incentive is there for holy living or whole-hearted obedience to God under such a system? If your sins are
forgiven in advance you certainly won’t have any abhorrence in committing them (even willfully) in fact you will have a
natural tendency to sin more blatantly than before because God has ALREADY forgiven you ahead of time.

 (Webmaster's note. I believe in eternal security as this gentleman does. The point is unconditional eternal security vs. conditional eternal security.)
