Disobedient but Heaven Bound!Jan.1st 2007
Watchman: Billy Blankenship
All scriptures are from the "King James Version" of the Bible.Yes, you read it right, "disobedient but Heaven bound". Sounds good doesn't it? No worries, no cares, do what you will, and you are just as assured of Heaven "as if you were already there", or, at least that is what many are told. If this sounds ludicrous, it really is! I am going to give you several scriptures that will guide you into the Gates of Heaven-if you will apply them to your life. They will also be the scriptures that will guide you from the "Gates of Hell"!
Some of the "Church World", has gone off the deep end in false doctrines that will help hold the crowd, but in the process damn the soul for all eternity. Thousands of Church goers believe, that since they attend Church on a regular basis, give in the "kitty", work in the Church, that all is well with their soul. Pleasing the Pastor does not assure you of Heaven! It will only assure you of a happy Pastor. Being the leading "giver" in the Church means little also.
In the following scriptures you will have a choice to choose between "what you think, what you have been told, what Mama believes, and, what the Word of God teaches". God's word is "forever" settled in Heaven. It will not be changed for any of us. God gives all of us the opportunity to believe or disbelieve His word. There is a Heaven to gain, and a Hell to shun! It is your soul that is at stake, what will you do with it?
I WAS SAVED LONG AGO!
A statement I have heard many times over the years-"I got saved many years ago, they say". The question we must ask today is-are you still walking in the light of God's word, or, have you just gone your own way, and now do what feels good to you? Do you seek to please God, or, do you seek to please and satisfy yourself? One of the most dangerous doctrines of the hour, is the Doctrine of: "Unconditional Eternal Security"! Church folk are being told, that once you have prayed, and ask Christ into your life, what ever happens in the future whether right or wrong, whether you are good or bad, drunk or sober, married or just shacking up, you will always remain a Christian! What is strange- the average drunk doesn't even believe such nonsense, and still yet, many Church folk do.
If ever there was a "doctrine" that I would like to believe, it would be the doctrine of Once Saved Always Saved, better know as OSAS. The tragedy and ruin of souls that have come under this teaching, are multiplied thousands I am sure. Souls that have been damned for all eternity, simply because they were taught "YOU CANNOT LOOSE YOUR SALVATION"! Beloved, we are either on the Lord's side, or, we are on the devil's side! That is plain and simple! You decide which side you are on, after reading this message. Being "saved long ago" does not insure you that you are saved now! Let us look at some of the word of God, and see how it measures up with the "OSAS doctrine".
When Jesus was teaching, He gave these examples of how it was possible to be saved, and then go back into the world (and be lost!) These teachings are very serious, and can only have ONE meaning. To overlook these many verses of scripture, is to do so at your own peril.
Luke 14:23 He that is not with Me is against me: and he that gathers not with me scatters.
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
26 ¦then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first..
Jesus is teaching here, of the great danger of neglecting our Salvation, and living again as we please. I have seen over the past 35 years, those that have started serving God many years ago, and some slowly, others quickly, decide that the Christian life is not for them. It may seem to boring, or, they perceive that it has to many restrictions for them, so, they search for a doctrine that will let them continue in their own sinful ways, gratifying their selfish lusts, "UNTIL" they run into some of the Churches that teach the OSAS doctrine. I am not saying that the people that go to these Churches are bad. I am saying, that the doctrine of OSAS is bad, VERY BAD!
Then, these folks that have been searching for "that special Church", One that teaches there are "no sins" so big, that would damn a Christians soul, after he has once given his heart to Christ, settle back and relax, and coast on in to heaven (they think!) This is one of Charles Stanley's favorite phrases! Then they begin to settle down and live the way they want to live, because "they can never be lost anyway" so why worry? Don't tell me, that a man or woman cannot turn their back on God, and serve the devil again, I have seen it done many-many times. I have watched while Ministers who at one time had the touch of God upon their life, lie, commit adultery, beat their wives for no reason at all, except being under the control of the devil, then leave their family and go into complete apostasy! Are they still saved? The OSAS groups say YES! Get real! It is a false doctrine, and many will wind up in Hell because of it.
HE'S IN THE TAVERN TODAY, BUT STILL SAVED!
One Pastor told his congregation: "I know a man, who at one time was a faithful Church member, but today you can find him down at the local tavern, BUT HE IS STILL SAVED", the Pastor teaches his flock! He goes on to say: "I know of another man who left his wife and family, took another mans wife-and they are living together today, but I say- HE IS STILL SAVED"! Is it possible to be so deceived, that you think you can be DISOBEDIENT TO THE WORD OF GOD, AND STILL BE HEAVEN BOUND? That is the exact belief of the OSAS teachers.
A husband returned home one day, and overheard his wife talking to one of the Deacons in his own Church. He heard her say: "If we had known this, we could have been divorced years ago and remarried"! Know what he asked? Didn't you hear the Pastor today? He said that once you have been a Christian, you can never be lost again no matter what you do"! This actually happened. Can you not see the terrible DECEPTION in this awful teaching?
Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other: or else he will hold to the one, and espise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (riches.)
Those that teach such doctrine, will be quick to tell you: "You may loose your rewards, but never your salvation"! I challenge you to read the remaining portion of this message, as your very soul could be at stake! Today, divorce is as common as the plague of AIDS. Nothing seems sacred anymore. Marriages are on a "trial basis only". If it doesn;t work out to my liking, go take a hike!
The responsibility of Fathers to their families today, are disturbing indeed. Many will leave their own children, then go to some other woman who also has a (ready made family) and then help her raise her children! Sound crazy? Children are dropped by the roadside like animals today. Many of these men (and women) have known the forgiveness of sins, and served God at one time. Are they still saved? OSAS says YES! Maybe no rewards Brother Bill they tell me, but they are still saved! That is as big a lie, as all of the "Charismatic get rich schemes"! AND THERE ARE MANY!
1st Timothy 5:7 And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
8 But if any provide not for his own, and especially those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
How can anyone leave their family, deny the faith, and be called "worse than an infidel", and still go to heaven? That is an absurd teaching at it's best. We have "grace" today that costs man nothing. Preachers cry out: "Just trust in the Lord for your salvation, because if there was anything you might do your self, including obedience to God's word, YOU WOULD BE TRYING TO BE SAVED BY WORKS". For a man or woman, who has been a Christian, to turn from serving God, and to still maintain their salvation, (is against all scripture) if it is rightly divided!
1st Cor. 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17…If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Matt. 15:18 But those things that proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things that defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
If a man is defiled with the things in verse 19, is he still a Christian? It is obvious, that in verse 16-17, they were Christians, because the "Bible says so"! Paul stated that they were the "temple of God! You cannot be the temple of God, and be unsaved! If they defile the Temple, are they still saved? "There are those who will answer with an emphatic YES! Charles Stanley, in his "In Touch Ministry" says: "He perhaps is disobedient to the teachings of Christ Himself, but he is still saved! Yes, Stanley is actually saying: You can be "disobedient, but be heaven bound"!
It would take several pages, to show the many scriptures that pertain to, not only the possibility, but the actual forsaking the Lord and refusing to follow Him. To say it cannot be done, is to deny the very scriptures that "proves" it not only "can" be done, it "has been done"! And is also being done today, due in part to this OSAS teaching.
Hebrews 12:25 See that you refuse not Him that speaks. For if they (escaped not) who refused Him that spoke on earth {Exodus 20:19 Moses} much more shall we not escape, if WE "turn away" from Him that speaks from heaven.
It is possible to "turn away" from God! The word says so! To teach that we "sin a little every day", is also contrary to many passages of scriptures.
2nd Peter 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness.
They could not possibly have forsaken the "right way" unless at one time they "were in" the right way!
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is WORSE with them than in the beginning.
It is very obvious that they were once saved through the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, but were again entangled and overcome. They were worse off, than before they knew Christ. Can a Minister honestly teach and tell his congregation, that these were still saved? They not only can do it, THEY DO!
21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after THEY HAVE KNOWN IT, "TO TURN" from the holy commandment delivered them.
22 But it happened to them according to the true proverb, the dog is TURNED to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
{All emphasis mine.} Could any honest minister of the gospel, actually teach or preach, that after one has turned to his own vomit, (as the illustration gives us) that he is still on the way to heaven? That he is still a saved person? Peter is telling of the most disgusting, degrading circumstances. When a man or woman TURNS, and refuses to follow the path of righteousness, they are as a dog returned to it's vomit. To teach that someone would "only loose their rewards, but are as assured of heaven as if they were already there" is not only stretching the truth, "they are outright lying"! Do you know anyone who teaches such deception?Jude 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness to the judgment of the great day.
3 Beloved when I gave all diligence to write to you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.
Why was it needful as Jude puts it-to warn the saints, "if they were all going to heaven anyway regardless, as the OSAS teach today"? Why was he giving them such a strong warning, even referring to the angels that kept not their first estate? It is so sad today, as I meet different people who tell me they are Christians, that are still smoking-and drinking- (sometimes while talking to me!) Some, while living a very immoral life, assure me that God knows their heart, and, that they love the Lord! Jesus said: If you love me, keep my commandments. If a man says he loves me and keeps not my commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him
Many have bought the lie, that you can walk in disobedience, (sin), and still make heaven their home. Unless a change is made, they like thousands of others before them, will fall into the pits of Hell believing: "That they once were saved, and they will always be saved"! It will be to late then to believe! They will not need any preachers to tell them how hot Hell is, they will know. Unless repented of, the Preacher that taught them this lie will be there with them also.
Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, varience, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, (party time and such like): Of which I tell you before, as I have told you in time past, THAT THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
For anyone to teach and preach, that after having once truly known the Lord in His saving grace, and the forgiveness of sins, to "turn again" from that grace and take part in the sins above-to believe that heaven is their home is an absurdity, and, an impossibility unless a spiritual change is made in their life.
DISOBEDIENT BUT HEAVEN BOUND? NO WAY!!!
God is merciful and is quick to pardon, but, He will not "overlook the sin" in our lives. To believe so, is to eventually completely deceive ourselves. Sin can be dealt with in only one way, it must be washed away by the blood of Jesus! How anyone that is involved in any of the above practices, can still claim to be on the road to heaven is beyond me. You have read an ample number of scriptures that refutes such a claim. Please read once more Galatians 5:19-21, read them prayerfully, pray that God will open your eyes that you may see the truth of such a "damnable teaching" as the "Once Saved Always Saved" doctrine. No beloved, we will not live a disobedient life and still inherit Heaven for our final destiny. I love you - and that is the reason I tell you these truths. If it upsets you, then so be it!
I must stand before a Just God one of these days (and it could be pretty soon), I don't want to get charged with the dereliction of my duties as a Minister of the gospel, for fear of offending someone. The big difference in getting ripped off by some Ministries, is that it is only money! To get ripped off in this "unscriptural teaching" of OSAS, is that your soul is lost forever! A little leaven, leaveneth the whole lump Jesus said: A little poison will kill a whole Church, and especially those that drink the poison.
In these days of "feel good preaching, prosperity teaching" and the do it any way you want teaching, many seem to think, that every thing will be all right as far as God is concerned. Is this true? We need a clear word from the Bible to teach us the truth. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word. Faith does not come by listening to a lie, whether it be from the Charismatic, Full Gospel-Pentecostal-anointed ones, or any other group.
If we know that the doctrines we listen to is false, we best heed the beloved writer John. We should shun all of the teaching, and all that are teaching such "false doctrine", for that is exactly what it is.
1st John 10 If there come "any" unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed.
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partake of his evil deeds.
John is saying in essence: Don't assist this person in helping to spread this "false gospel". If you do so, you re as guilty is he is! John calls his deeds "evil", what do we call them? Remember the man in the Tavern, and the one who took someone else wife? To say that these people are still saved, borders on complete ignorance -and "blasphemy"!
OSAS is not only an evil doctrine, it is a damnable doctrine! The teachings of the OSAS were not originated from the Holy Spirit! If not, then who is the author of such teaching? It is taught that after you accept Christ, it is possible, that you could turn from your "born again" faith, to a Catholic, Jehovah's, Witness, Mormon, an Atheist, or even a Muslim, and STILL MAKE HEAVEN YOUR HOME! Is that possibly true? God help us to not believe such teaching, and, especially to teach men so.
"DISOBEDIENT AND HEAVEN BOUND"? I think not!
